Relational Flow 路 Donna Stichbury
Is Relational Flow right for your family?
An honest reflection before we begin
This is not a quiz with right or wrong answers. It is an invitation to be honest, perhaps more honest than you have allowed yourself to be in a while. Some of these questions will be uncomfortable. That discomfort is not a problem. It is the beginning of something.
One
Have you done things as a parent that you are ashamed of?
Shouted in a way that frightened your child. Said something you cannot take back. Lost control in a moment you wish had gone differently. This is a safe place to be honest.
Two
When things go wrong at home, where does your mind go first?
Be honest. No one is watching. The first thought that arrives before the considered one.
Three
What do you most want for your child right now?
Not what you think you should want. What is actually driving you to be here.
Four
How long are you willing to sit with not knowing where this is going?
Relational Flow does not have a destination you can see from here. It does not follow a six-week plan. The work reveals itself as you go. That is not a flaw in the model. It is the model.
Five
Are you willing to look at where your own patterns come from?
Not just your child's behaviour. Yours. The way you were parented. What you learned about love and safety and anger before you ever had words for any of it. This work asks that of you.
Six
What is actually happening at home right now?
The version you might not say out loud in most places. This is one of those rare places where honesty is safer than the edited version.
Seven
Where are you based?
Donna is based in Pukekohe and works locally with families in their homes and everyday spaces. She also travels across Aotearoa for workshops and supports families online.
Eight
If you are honest with yourself, what are you most afraid this process will ask of you?
There is no wrong answer here. But noticing what comes up matters.
